The menu promises the Pierogis (potato or cabbage) are made by Ukrainian ladies - from the neighborhood I assume. My waitress told me the deserts are all home made, but not made at Zien's. I'm figuring everything else comes from their kitchen.
I had a tough choice between one of the dozen or so specials - kielbasa, pork tips and sauerkraut, another special, chicken casserole, or the pork tips with mushroom gravy on noodles. Started with 3 pierogis. Went with the pork tips and noodles. (I'm a sucker for noodles; hardly ever see them at a restaurant nowadays.) Ended with a slice of Dutch apple pie, a la mode. My whole dinner came to about $12.
Best meal of the trip.
