​Heading south on Route 1, from an overpass and through the rain, I spotted a little white hut and the words "Hot Dogs."  Hung a U, and headed back to one of the Wasses Hot Dog stands that seem to cover central coastal Maine.  Wasses grills their dogs and finishes them off with fried onions and a bunch of other toppings.  The bun is the standard Maine hot dog bun, slightly warmed.  The grilled dogs and the grilled onions work great together.
