Finally, an oasis of good food in the vast wasteland that is the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
I was all set to order a bowl of beef stew when I spied their featured burger. The Big Top. A double decker burger, one beef patty, one pork patty. A slice of onion, pickle relish, and at my waitress's suggestion, some "spicy mustard." It all works great.
"You've got to have a piece of pie. We're rather known for our pies." How, Dr. Atkins, could I say no? My choices, all homemade: Peach, Cherry, Lemon Meringue, Chocolate, Peanut Butter, and Coconut Cream. I went with my waitress's recommendation and devoured the coconut cream.
