I had fine memories of Hackney's from when I lived in Chicago back in the late '60's. It was a great burger. Hackney's still builds a good burger, but it just wasn't as I remembered it. The dark rye seems softer and the burger itself seemed more fabricated.
Great onion loaf. As good as I remember. Pretty sure this is a Hackney's invention.
The inside dining room was packed. Great atmosphere in there. But rather than wait, I ate outside in their patio. Delightful.
