D'ANGELO BROTHERS

909 S. 9th Street Street
Philadelphia (Italian Market)
(215) 923-5637
Tuesday Through Sunday

One of Philadelphia's most unique butcher shops. Not only is D'Angelo Brothers the place to go for a double-thick porterhouse, dry aged for 3 weeks - it is just about the only place in Philadelphia for fresh game - everything from gator tenderloins to emu filets to bear meat. And if that's not good enough reason there are the patés - two every weekend if Sonnie has time to prepare them, and the 45 blends of sausages - my favorites being garlic lovers and french apple.
