Brian is from Canada. But "Bobo" comes from his first trip to Isla. For some reason or another Brian inadvertantly stepped off the sidewalk in front of a cab. The cab driver screeched to a halt, jumped out of his cab and called Brian, "Bobo!" The name stuck, at least for his restaurant.
Brian fries up local fish, whatever that day's catch is. For my visit, Tiger Fish. Firmer than typical fish and chips fish, and maybe a better choice. Great batter, perfectly fried. Only thing that would make it better would be fresh cut french fries. A very small space though, so not sure they have the room.
The fried chicken sandwich is breaded with crushed corn chips. Makes for a crispy and tasty sandwich. The fish for the fish sandwich is the same as the fish and chips. The tartar sauce is home made, as is the dressing for his Caesar Salad.
Rounding out the menu - buffalo chicken wings and grilled burgers and sliders. And poutine. Bobo's fries up the French Canadian delicacy poutine. Haute cuisine has come to Isla.
