If it wasn't for the desk clerk at the Hampton Inn in
Savannah's Historical District I'm not sure I would have
found Wall's Bar-B-Que. It's on a small lane off
one of the squares. Turns out it was the desk
clerk's dinner break and barbecue sounded good. He
led the way.
Wall's turns all
sorts of good food from their small kitchen. Along
with excellent pulled pork barbecue, chicken, ribs, "devilcrab,"
and fried fish. I went for a pulled pork sandwich
with greens and, a low country classic red rice.
There's no air
conditioning and limited seating inside. Much
nicer to walk a block to their outdoor dining room, one
of the many park/squares in the historic district.
