I
went here because the evening was beautiful and Uncle Pete's
has a patio that looks out over
the Ohio River.
Their
regular menu, sandwiches and salads, is typical sandwich
parlor, but there were some interesting specials. I
reluctantly passed over the liver and onions for hot
sausage pasta. What arrived made me wish I had opted
for the liver and onions - some shell macaroni and sausage
in a red sauce topped with processed yellow and white
cheese that had been melted under the broiler. Once
again first impressions were wrong. Sandwich parlor
synergy. The whole was much tastier than the sum of
its parts. Turned out I did quite well.
