Rosie's
is unique for a couple of reasons. First, it
is the furthest east hot dog stand in the United
States. Second it's probably the only hot dog stand
serving actual stone ground mustard - the same factory mustard
that used to be added to the canned sardines that were
processed in the area. Their
dining room is kind of unique too, a picnic table
overlooking Eastport's working harbor and the town wharf. Their
hot dogs come with or without chili. I did one with
factory one mustard and one chili dog, the hot dog sitting
on a good sized bed of chili with beans. The
buns are the traditional Maine hot dog buns that are also
used for lobster rolls.
