Aretha Franklin on the sound system.  Jumbo all beef quarter pound hot dogs on the grill.   And Perry, himself, who greets you as you walk buy, offers to lend you his umbrella if it starts to pour, uses his cell phone to make your dinner reservations, answers any and all questions about the Portland area and who will probably feed your parking meter if the evil meter maid gets too close. 

Also on the menu, blackened salmon filet on a roll and a grilled knish (or as he explains to the tourists - "a mashed potato pie").  The dogs can be embellished with grilled onion, grilled kraut imported all the way from Brooklyn NY, hot chopped peppers and four kinds of homemade relish.

Note:  Perry's got a new, spiffy cart including a roof over his head.  He's moved across the street, by the water.
