The
waitress at Murray's said they did their barbecuing the
old fashioned way - in a pit in the ground. The old
ways are the best. Pulled pork shoulder as good as
you'll find anywhere. Had mine with sides of
"stew" (brunswick stew) and coleslaw. They're
mighty proud of their hush puppies too, hand rolled.
And my waitress was right when she insisted that I save
room for their pudding - homemade banana pudding - an ol'
south staple - packed with soggy vanilla wafers.
(Soggy is good when it comes to banana pudding.)
