The dogs are
grilled and come on toasted buns. The only
exception is the Texas Wiener to the right which is
wrapped in bacon and deep fat fried. Above is a
chili dog and to the upper right, their version of a
Chicago hot dog - missing a poppy seed topped bun, but
the bright colors are there.
Johnnie's Doggie
House got a Best of Philly this year from Philadelphia
Magazine, pretty impressive since they haven't been open
all that long.
They're proud of
their shakes, too. And fries can be ordered with
brown gravy, something that's been missing in the
Philadelphia area.
