It's as if Click
and Clack of "Car Talk" on NPR opened a hot dog stand -
the decor is even reminiscent of a '50's gas station.
But the zany brothers are
Lee and Tim Papadeas who
traveled all over the country researching dogs before
opening up the Daytona Chili Station.
The got a lot of
things right - a choice of Vienna Beef, Nathan's or
Sabrett's hot dogs; three to five way Cincinnati style
chili, available mild, hot or HOT; and just because they
like it, a darn good lobster bisque.
The dog to the
upper right is their variation on a slaw dog - a spicy,
horseradish slaw dog.
The Daytona Chili
Station could get five grease stains now, but I'm
holding off until the go from as good a tasting frozen
french fry as I've come across to fresh cut, twice fried
fries.
